Funeral Ceremony
A funeral service provides you with the opportunity to say your final farewell to your loved one. My ceremonies will represent your wishes and any wishes that your loved one may have had, sincerely and compassionately.
All services are individually crafted, enabling the celebration of your loved ones life to capture their essence, services can include everything that you want to do and say. You may be familiar with a traditional religious funeral, however, this is not the only way to say farewell. Working with an Independent Celebrant you are able to have much more flexibility and influence on the structure and feel of your service.
As your celebrant I will meet with you to talk about your wishes for the service, this meeting generally happens within your chosen funeral directors premises. At our initial meeting we will discuss what you want included in your service and I will get to know the deceased through you. We will talk about their life, and what mattered to them, to enable me to go away and create a fitting tribute. For many this opportunity to reminisce is a time of reflection and laughter, as you are reminded of happier times. We will also discuss any readings, poems and music you require and if any family member wishes to participate in the service. It is important for me to build a relationship with you before the service, and I would encourage you to exercise your choice in finding a celebrant with whom you feel comfortable. We can discuss whether you feel I am a good fit during our initial chat.
On the day I will be there to welcome you and your family and lead the service on your behalf with sensitivity and empathy.
Every ceremony is an incredibly special opportunity to pay tribute to your loved one, often they are the first stage of the healing process and that is why I am passionate about getting it right for you. Representing your wishes authentically, by delivering meaningful and sincere services working in partnership with your funeral director to make the process seamless.
Everything included in your ceremony is customised for you with guidance from me, and I will work with you to ensure that you get the service you need.
